Live In Home Supervisor

The Home Supervisor provides live-in, full-time care for six individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in a Christian home environment that encourages optimal personal growth and independence.

The Supervisor oversees all aspects of the home including daily activities, meals, personal hygiene, medications, transportation, resident participation in household chores, and the scheduling of Relief Staff.

Under the general direction and supervision of the Home Supervisor, Resident Support Staff will provide support services for up to six adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Christian home environment. Resident Support Staff will demonstrate respect for and to all residents while providing support for and/or facilitating daily activities, meals, personal hygiene, medication dispensing, education, or job-related activities.

This role is exploratory in nature—ideal for those discerning a call to ministry, seeking to develop spiritual gifts, and learning how local church ministry functions day to day. Interns will serve alongside ministry leaders in a variety of areas while gaining a broad perspective of church life, spiritual leadership, and pastoral care.

Mentors/Guides

Mentor Me of West Michigan

Mentors are the lifeblood of the ministry. They are the “on the ground troops” discipling the students. As such, they must be people of absolute integrity committed to the cause of seeing the lost come to Christ and leading students to become honorable citizens in society. ​

Our Mentors are required to spend 2-4 hours, each week with their students; discipling no more than 6 students maximum. Some Mentors may choose to mentor 1 student and others have time to mentor multiple students. It is estimated that a Mentor will spend an additional hour each week, per student, in travel and reporting. Included in this reporting time will be a weekly meeting with a MentorMe of West Michigan Guide to receive encouragement, support, and prayer.

Life Skills Coordinator
