The Central Church / Water’s Edge Residency is a hands-on ministry experience designed to develop the next generation of healthy, skilled, and spiritually grounded leaders for the local church. Residents serve alongside experienced ministry leaders while receiving intentional coaching, leadership development, and spiritual formation.

This residency is built to help individuals clarify their calling, grow in character and competence, and prepare for long-term vocational ministry—whether at Central Church, within the Water’s Edge Network, or beyond.

Residency length ranges from 1 to 3 years, depending on calling, ministry track, development pace, and mutual discernment between the resident and leadership.

Central/Water's Edge Internship

The Ministry Internship is designed to provide individuals with early exposure to ministry life through guided learning, hands-on experiences, and intentional mentoring. This role is exploratory in nature—ideal for those discerning a call to ministry, seeking to develop spiritual gifts, and learning how local church ministry functions day to day.

Interns will serve alongside ministry leaders in a variety of areas while gaining a broad perspective of church life, spiritual leadership, and pastoral care.

Chapel Music Director

The Chapel Music Director (MD) is responsible for the overall flow of the Chapel service at Central, including music selection and arrangement, worship service planning, scheduling musicians (choir, orchestra, band, vocals), organizing and leading rehearsals and leading worship for the Chapel service in a multi-venue setting. Includes Sundays and special services as scheduled. The Chapel MD works in tandem with musicians, pastors, technicians, and administrative team/staff to execute a traditional/blended worship style including hymns new and old, choruses recent and current, and development of musical and liturgical skill to ensure an excellent worship venue experience as we continue on our mission to help people flourish in their Kingdom calling.

Chapel Coordinator

The Chapel Coordinator is responsible for the arranging and production of the Chapel service at Central Church. Chapel is one of our multi-venue expressions at Central that features a choir, orchestra, various instrumental and vocal ensembles, and multi-media. This is a very detail oriented role that oversees the coordination of schedules, distribution of music, communicating, and coordination of worship elements for a team of 100+ volunteers within the scope of the Worship Arts ministry at Central. The Chapel Coordinator works primarily with the Chapel Music Director (MD) and the Chapel Lead Team to ensure the smooth execution of the Sunday Chapel service.
